Pamela Anderson is finding out everything.
THE Baywatch The alum, 55, took to Instagram on Friday to share a series of makeup-free photos. The typically made-up star, who just released her memoir With love, Pamela and his documentary on Netflix Pamela: a love storyhe captioned the photos with a poem.
“I’d rather show my freckles,” she began. “It’s fun getting old. It’s a relief. And at a certain age we look younger and fresher without makeup. This is me: I’m happy with who I am right now. It’s a new world and I’m so thankful for all the love.”
Anderson’s followers loved vulnerable photos. One wrote in the comment section: “The power of freckles!!!!! I so agree the older I get. I feel like heavy makeup does absolutely nothing for me. If anything, it ages me. I have always loved Pamela and I love her even more after seeing the documentary of her”. Another added: “Thank you for proving that our beauty has no expiration date. Our face and bodies are a living testament to the amazing life we have and are living.
In addition to embracing her current look, Anderson has recently been reflecting on her past beauty and style. In an interview with wwdshe talked about not feeling hip.
“I wish Anna Wintour would love me, but I know she never will because I’m just clothes repellent,” Anderson said of Voguefamous editor-in-chief and notorious fashion icon. “I want to dress up in these nice clothes, but they just don’t fit me; some things are too weird, my body just doesn’t fit me. But especially when I was younger, I would err on the side of just having fun. I mean, I was into it. five minutes to put those looks together with these shiny pants, big hat and blue eyeliner.And walking the red carpets with Tommy [Lee] it was just, we just thought ‘we’re going to be fun’. We didn’t think we could have a stylist or anything like that.”
During an appearance on Dax Shepard’s Podcast, Armchair expertshe admitted that she “can’t wait” to get older and said she never considered herself a “great beauty”.
“I always said I’d recognize myself in the mirror when I grew up,” the Home Improvement observed the actress. “I don’t want to chase [aging] and i don’t want to do all this shit myself… i want to let my hair go a natural grey, wear my straw hat, no makeup. I mean, this is my kind of comfortable state.
