Days of Our Lives actor Cody Longo has died at 34

The world of soap operas has lost one of their own.

Cody Longowho played Nicholas Alamain in Days of our lives in 2011, he was found dead Feb. 8 at his home in Austin, Texas, his rep told CNN. He was 34 years old.

The actor is survived by his wife, Stephanie Longoand three children—Lila7, Elijah5, and Noah18 months.

“Cody was our whole world,” Stephanie said in a statement. “The kids and I are broken and beyond devastated. He was the best dad and father. We will always and forever miss you and love you.”

In the decade before his death, Cody faced personal and legal turmoil. In 2013, he was arrested for a DUI in Los Angeles and ordered to take alcohol education classes as part of a plea deal.

In January 2020, he was arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl during a 2019 trip to Colorado. In 2021, he pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor assault charge stemming from the incident, while the felony sexual assault charge was dismissed, Clarkville now he said, adding that the sentencing has been delayed for more than a year.
